CS 8100 3D

The CS 8100 3D cone beam X-ray unit provides our dentist with detailed 2D and 3D images of a patient’s teeth, gums, and jaw structures. This machine generates high-resolution scans of all kinds, including panoramic and close-ups. Thanks to its sleek design, the CS 8100 3D can fit and scan narrow spaces of the mouth.

Our dentists can utilize this technology’s unique four-in-one fields of view to collect images from different angles and varying closeness. This machine is especially useful for endodontic purposes, as it provides quality scans that dentists can easily examine for any underlying issues.

CBCT scanning technology can show our dentist:

  • Tooth decay
  • Jawbone deterioration
  • Periodontal infections
  • Temporomandibular joint irregularities
  • Infected dental pulp

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays, also known as digital radiographs, are an important diagnostic tool for dental professionals. Traditional film radiographs provide important insights about your health, but hi-tech digital radiographs are better, generating clear pictures of your smile that are viewable on a computer screen.

Dentists can copy, store, and print your digital x-rays with ease. This provides us with a clear baseline of images so we know exactly how much you’ve benefited from our professional care. Digital x-rays can be transmitted via computer – eliminating the need for taking another set of x-rays in many cases.

Some of the conditions digital x-rays help us diagnose include:

  • Early signs of decay
  • Bone recession
  • Tumors
  • Fractures and trauma
  • The positioning of the teeth
  • Developmental irregularities
  • Cysts and abscesses
  • Issues below the gum line

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic x-rays are wraparound photographs of the face and teeth. The panoramic x-ray process is easy for our Corner Stone Dental patients. All you have to do is sit in a chair for about a minute while the machine makes a single rotation around your head. There’s no discomfort and we don’t need to put any film in your mouth.

We use panoramic x-rays on an as-needed basis. They’re the perfect tool when we want to get a better view of the sinus areas, nasal areas, and mandibular nerve. If a sinus problem is suspected, a panoramic x-ray could be the correct instrument to help us see what’s happening.

Panoramic x-rays can help us:

  • Assess patients with an extreme gag reflex
  • Evaluate the progression of TMJ Disorder
  • Discover cysts and abnormalities
  • Expose impacted teeth
  • Perform treatment planning
  • Reveal gum disease and cavities

Intraoral Cameras

An intraoral camera is a pen-sized wand that’s connected to a computing unit at the side of the dental chair. We can generate remarkably clear images of your smile by simply waving the intraoral camera above your teeth. These detailed pictures of your mouth can then be magnified more than 30 times.

Intraoral cameras are changing the face of routine dental appointments. They give your dentist a unique view of each tooth, providing more accurate diagnoses and allowing us to carry out treatment planning with much greater precision.

Intraoral cameras can show us:

  • Areas of hygiene that need improvement
  • Early signs of gum disease and oral cancer
  • Tooth decay
  • How your treatment is progressing
  • The ideal location for placing a dental implant

Laser Technology

At Corner Stone Dental, we use laser technology to make procedures easier for our patients. Though lasers may sound intimidating, they allow us to preserve the maximum amount of oral tissue when treating gum disease. Laser gum therapy also reduces bleeding while speeding up your recovery time.
